FAQ's
A VA is a virtual assistant. Just like a PA, but as we are 'virtual', it means that we don't need to work in your office or in your home, we do all our work from our own location. A Virtual Assistant provides professional administrative assistance to clients remotely.
A VA can be engaged for as long as you need, be it a few hours a week or for a specific time for a specific project. You decide how little or how often.
Most clients will opt for a certain amount of fixed hours per week, and you can alter your VA’s time and tasks as you go – giving you the ability and flexibility to adjust your requirements to suit you and your business.
A VA provides remote assistance for all manner of things from business admin support, book keeping, marketing, social media, web design, process improvement, event management to personal concierge services.
Ad Hoc VA provides business admin support, process improvement and lifestyle management/personal concierge services.
VA's are freelance, so that means you don't have to have them on your payroll, pay leave (sick, annual, maternity, parental etc), ACC levies, make Kiwisaver contributions or any other employment related responsibilities.
You also don't have to provide any office space or equipment which greatly minimises your overheads.
A VA can take care of all the things your business requires which you may not have the skills, time or resources for. Leaving you time to focus on what you do best, growing your business and customer satisfaction.
Having a VA allows you to have a greater work life balance.

Once you have given me your brief, you will be provided with a service agreement detailing the work that is to be carried out and the terms of service. This must be signed and returned to AdHoc VA before any work commences. However, there are no long-term contracts to commit to, you can cancel at any time with 30 day’s written notice.
The hours you require are to be purchased in advance. However, depending on the task, some work may be paid 50% up front and the other 50% upon completion.
If any external resources or service providers are engaged such as caterers, venue hire, hotel, travel, confidential document shredding service, tradesmen, cleaners etc, you pay me for the time I have spent sourcing and engaging them, then you pay them directly for their service.
